Culture through connection
Nowra Anglican College is a co-educational college, nurturing a community of learners from pre-school to Year 12 from across the Shoalhaven region.
We strive to be a community where every child feels valued and belongs. The wellbeing of all students is central to our mission.
Our mission is to develop confident, active learners who are capable, critical thinkers, who can apply their knowledge, skills and passion to improve the world around them, now and into the future.
Our teachers are highly trained, creative and innovative educators who are passionate about unlocking the potential of each student in their care. We aim to foster the attitudes and dispositions that support powerful learning, through our teaching and learning framework Building Learning Power. This framework teaches students that how they learn matters as much as what they learn. We support students to become resourceful, reflective, resilient, relational learners.
Students have the opportunity to excel academically, as well as explore their other passions and interests, with a strong co-curricular program across sport, creative arts, public speaking, debating and many other areas.
Nowra Anglican College stands firmly on Christian foundations, with a desire to see every child learn of the great love God has for each of them. We teach each student to live by the values of respect, compassion and wisdom that Jesus modelled for us. It is our great hope that every student will leave Nowra Anglican College equipped to serve others in their lives beyond school.
Nowra Anglican College arose out of a vision to provide quality Christian, independent schooling in the Shoalhaven. We were established in 2000 with a foundation enrolment of just 175 students, and have grown with our reputation as a high-quality college with a vision to educate the whole child.
